The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have placed outfielder Matt Holliday (right quadriceps strain) on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Greg Garcia from Memphis (AAA). The team also announced that it has designated first baseman Dan Johnson for assignment in order to add newly-acquired outfielder/first baseman Brandon Moss to both the 25-man and 40-man rosters.

- It will be a busy weekend for the Blues. They will host back-to-back games at Scottrade Center, playing the Nashville Predators tonight and the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night. The Blues defeated the Edmonton Oilers 8-3 on Tuesday night, the most goals they have scored n a game since 2011.

- The Missouri Tigers play their regular-season finale today against Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. The Tigers have won their last five games to become bowl eligible and are trying to end the regular season with a six-game winning streak.
